NARSINGDI, May 19, 2026 (BSS) - Member of Parliament and BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan today said that the Awami League government looted thousands of crores of taka through IT over the past 17 years.
“They did many things through IT, but made nothing easier for the people,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a three-day land services fair in Palash upazila this afternoon.
He said, it is not enough to just make lofty promises in the name of service; the country's IT system must be simplified, and the process of availing services must be made easier for every citizen.
He further said the current government is determined to resolve the complexities of land services for the people. To that end, land services have been launched nationwide through this electronic service.
Palash Upazila Executive Officer Ishtiaque Ahmed presided over the event while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rakin Mashrur Khan, Palash Police Station OC Shahed Al-Mamun, Upazila BNP General Secretary Professor Saiful Islam, Senior Joint General Secretary Bahauddin Bhuiyan Milton, Ghorashal Poura BNP President and former Vice Chairman Alam Mollah, General Secretary Delwar Hossain, Palash Upazila Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Convener Nazmul Hossain Bhuiyan Sohel, and Member Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Papon, along with leaders and activists at various levels, spoke in the event.
