DHAKA, May 18, 2026 (BSS) – Members of law enforcement agencies, particularly the police, have arrested 71 suspected criminals during regular operations in various areas of the city.

The suspects were arrested yesterday following raids conducted in various crime-prone areas, according to a press release issued today.

Of the arrestees, nine were arrested from the Tejgaon Police Station area, 21 from the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station area, 18 from the Mohammadpur Police Station area, eight from the Adabor Police Station area, seven from the Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station area, and eight from the Hatirjheel Police Station area.
