DHAKA, April 30, 2026 (BSS)- The government has instructed additional secretaries and officials of equivalent rank to travel by air in economy class to reduce government expenditure.

The finance ministry issued an office order in this regard today.

It said all additional secretaries and equivalent officials of the government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, statutory, or state-owned institutions have been instructed to travel in economy class instead of business, club or executive class during overseas air travel, until further notice.
