DHAKA, April 30, 2026 (BSS) – The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) today approved key proposals for a sanitation project under Chattogram WASA and a World Bank (WB)-funded urban public health initiative.

The approval came at the 19th meeting of the committee held in the capital with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.

The committee approved a proposal of the Local Government Division for the “Chattogram Metropolitan Sanitation Project for North Kattoli Catchment” under Chattogram WASA. 

The contract for design review and supervision consultancy services (Package No. CMSP-5/S1) was awarded to a joint venture of SAFEGE (SUEZ Consulting) and SEURECA of France, along with DevConsultants Limited of Bangladesh. 

The contract value is TK 114.71 crore.

The committee also approved a proposal under the World Bank-financed “Improvement of Urban Public Health Preventive Services Project (IUPHPS)” for the selection and engagement of a firm for outsourcing support staff (Package No. BD-LGD-NS-01-NC-RFB). 

Masranga Security Services (Pvt.) Ltd. was awarded the contract at a cost of TK  28.42 crore.

The meeting also reviewed several other proposals from the Power Division, Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Commerce.
