DHAKA, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - Due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East, the regulatory body - Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) - has adjusted the price of aviation fuel (jet fuel) for the month of April.
According to the commission's order, the price for domestic flights has been set at 227.08 taka per liter, including duty and VAT.
On the other hand, for international flights operated by both domestic and foreign airlines, the price has been set at $1.48 per liter, excluding duty and VAT.
BERC issued a notification in this regard today stating that the new prices will come into effect from 12:00 midnight tonight.
On March 24, BERC had set the jet fuel price for domestic flights at 202.29 taka per liter, including duty and VAT.
For international flights by domestic and foreign airlines, the price had been set at 1.32 US dollars per liter, excluding duty and VAT.
