CHATTOGRAM, Jan 28, 2026 (BSS)- BNP Standing Committee Member and candidate for Chattogram-11 constituency Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said it’s wise to compete in the election by keeping confidence in people.

“People will not accept the path of obstructing democracy by spreading propaganda and creating trouble,” he said while conducting mass contact and election campaign in his constituency today.

Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said people want to restore democracy, they want a fair election and they are marching towards that way.
 
He said some isolated incidents might happen in every election but it does not mean that there is lack of level playing field. Such small incidents happen during election across the world and Bangladesh is not an exception.

“But one should not make the election questionable in plea of such occurrence and those people who don’t actually want election follow this maneuver,” he pointed out. 

He said upcoming election is going to be held based on public support; none would able to obstruct the election. 

People will get back their ownership in the state and people wants to see the country to be ruled by their elected representative, he said.

BNP city unit Joint convenor M A Aziz, executive committee member Haji Hanif Sawdagar, local BNP leaders Haji Kamal Uddin, Md Selim, Md Salah Uddin and Haji Hossain were present.
