Tarique Rahman goes to Tangail on Jan 31

TANGAIL, Jan 28, 2026 (BSS)- BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman will visit Tangail on Saturday next to take part in party’s election campaign.

He will address a public rally at Darun Charjana bypass area of the town, party sources said.

Central Publicity Secretary of BNP and candidate for Tangail-5 constituency Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and other party leaders today visited the venue and inspected the preparation of the rally. Members of the Chairperson’s Security Force (CSF) were also present.

Talking to the journalists after the visit Tuku said all preparations for the election rally are completed. “Given the massive public support in favor of the Paddy Sheaf, we are hopeful that this rally will turn into a historic gathering,” he said.

“People of Tangail are eagerly waiting to see our leader Tarique Rahman. He will deliver a speech on how Bangladesh will be governed in the coming days. Insha’Allah, this rally will further strengthen the path to victory of BNP,” he said.

Party sources said as part of his election campaign, Tarique Rahman will visit Rajshahi on January 29 and then visit several districts of the northern region before finally arriving in Tangail on January 31. 

Comprehensive preparations have been taken to make the visit successful one. Law enforcing agencies have also taken necessary security measures in this regard.
