Tarique Rahman to attend BNP rally in Naogaon tomorrow

NAOGAON, Jan 28, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to attend a public rally in Naogaon on Thursday, marking his first visit to the district in nearly two decades, ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.

The rally will be held at the ATM Ground in Naogaon town. Preparations for the event are in their final stages.  

Leaders and activists of the district BNP and its affiliated organizations are showing heightened enthusiasm surrounding Tarique Rahman’s visit. Party leaders said the rally is expected to play a significant role in boosting the party’s election campaign in the northern region.

According to party sources, this will be Tarique Rahman’s first public address in Naogaon since assuming the role of BNP chairman. At the rally, he is scheduled to introduce BNP candidates from Naogaon and Joypurhat districts and outline the party’s commitments to the people.

Naogaon District BNP President Abu Bakkar Siddique Nannu said, “The people of Naogaon are eagerly waiting for BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman. We have taken all necessary steps to make the programme successful,” he added.

District BNP General Secretary Mamunur Rahman Ripon said Rahman’s visit would further energize party leaders and workers and strengthen the party’s election momentum.
