DHAKA, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 57 people as part of Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2, conducting coordinated drives across seven police station areas in the capital in the last 24-hours.

According to a DMP press release, the arrests were made by Paltan Model, Jatrabari, Banani, Bangshal, Kalabagan, Rupnagar and Mugda police stations during day-long operations on Wednesday in various crime-prone areas.

Among the stations, Paltan Model Police Station led the operation by arresting 26 people. Jatrabari Police Station arrested six, Banani Police Station arrested five, Bangshal Police Station arrested three, Kalabagan Police Station arrested one, Rupnagar Police Station arrested seven, and Mugda Police Station arrested nine people.

Police officials said the arrests were made as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime and ensure public safety in the capital. The detainees are accused of involvement in various criminal activities.

All arrested individuals have been produced before the court for further legal proceedings.
