DHAKA, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today ordered the seizure of income tax records of Lt Col (retd) Kazi Momrez Mahmud following an application filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order this noon.

According to the ACC application, the accused concealed assets worth Taka 45.15 lakh in his wealth statement submitted to the commission and acquired assets worth Taka 13.73 lakh beyond known sources of income. 

The ACC has filed a case against him in this connection.

To ensure a proper investigation, the court ordered the seizure and review of his income tax records from the 2010–11 to 2024–25 tax years to verify the accuracy of his income and expenditure and to determine whether he owns any additional undisclosed assets.
