DHAKA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) – Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) Abu Noor Md. Shamsuzzaman today said the results of the written examination for the recruitment of assistant teachers in government primary schools will be published shortly.

He disclosed the matter in a press release saying the written examination for “Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025” was held simultaneously on January 9, 2026, at 1,408 centres in 61 districts, excluding the three hill districts.

A total of 1,080,095 applications were received against 14,385 posts, while 830,088 candidates took part in the exam.

He said the examination was conducted smoothly under the supervision of deputy commissioners with the support of law enforcement, education officials and intelligence agencies. 

More than 200 candidates were expelled for unfair means and legal action was taken against them.

In view of the overall situation, the DG said the results will be published soon.
