Partial committee of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad approved

DHAKA, Jan 13, 2025 (BSS) - The 139-member partial committee of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad has been approved for the next one year. 

The approval of the committee was announced in a press release signed by the organization's president Nazmul Hasan and general secretary Sanaullah Haque today.

It said that Nazmul Hasan will serve as the president and Sanaullah Haque as the general secretary of the newly formed committee. 

Newaz Khan Bappi has been nominated as the senior vice-president and Rakibul Islam as the senior joint-general secretary.

The committee has a total of 28 vice-presidents and 25 joint general secretaries. The committee has appointed Mohammad Ali Toha as the office secretary (vice-president rank), Moniruzzaman Monir as the publicity secretary and Tarek Azad as the finance secretary, along with editors and co-editors in various important departments.

The newly formed committee has appointed separate organizing secretaries for Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Barisal, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Cumilla and Faridpur divisions. 

The press release said that the committee will work to realize the rights of the student community, strengthen the democratic movement and make the organizational activities more dynamic. If necessary, this partial committee will be made complete later.
