DHAKA, Jan 11, 2026 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Hamida Begum, mother of BNP National Executive Committee Vice Chairman and former Member of Parliament Md Nurul Islam Moni.

In a condolence message issued today, Mirza Fakhrul said the late Hamida Begum was a pious woman and was highly respected and loved by her neighbours. 

“Like her family members and relatives, I am also deeply saddened by her demise. I pray that Almighty Allah grants her eternal peace in Jannah and gives her family the strength to bear this profound grief,” he added.

The BNP Secretary General also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members, relatives and well-wishers.
