JS election symbols in Rangpur will be allocated on January 21

RANGPUR, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections, symbols will be allocated among the candidates of the six parliamentary constituencies of Rangpur district on January 21. 
 
A notification signed by Rangpur Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Mohammad Enamul Ahsan has announced the schedule for the allocation of election symbols among the candidates contesting in the JS elections.
 
This activity will be completed under the overall supervision of the district administration in light of the instructions of the Election Commission Secretariat. 
 
As per the notification, symbols will be allocated among the candidates of Rangpur-1 to Rangpur-6 constituencies in phases from 10 am to 4 pm on January 21. 
 
The schedule mentions that symbols will be allocated among the candidates of Rangpur-1 constituency at 10 am, Rangpur-2 constituency at 11 am, Rangpur-3 constituency at 12 noon, Rangpur-4 constituency at 2 pm, Rangpur-5 constituency at 3 pm and Rangpur-6 constituency at 4 pm. 
 
The symbol allocation ceremony will be held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer's office. 
 
Only authorized persons, including candidates of the respective constituencies, their election agents, proposers and supporters, will be allowed to attend the ceremony, the notification said.
