Following its success, a month-long festival was held on January 25, 2024,
featuring 127 types of flowers. Subsequently, on January 4, 2025, the park
showcased 136 types of flowers, attracting a large number of visitors. This
year, the park is adorned with over 140 types of flowers for the month-long
event.

The district administration anticipates a significant turnout for this year's

The park has transformed into a vibrant ecosystem with the addition of
flowers and water bodies, attracting butterflies, bees, grasshoppers,
pancouri, and colorful fish. The festival will showcase a variety of foreign
winter flower species, including 25 types of roses, stocks, gazania, and
camellia.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah mentioned that the park is
adorned with 140 species of flowers in different colors such as hollyhock,
snowbuck, nestium, lily, dahlia, chrysanthemum, and tulips for the festival.

"Cultural programmes will be held daily throughout the month-long event, with
performances by cultural groups from various districts and upazilas. Other
attractions include rural festivals, pitha festivals, book festivals and kite

Students from 16 countries residing in Bangladesh will showcase their
cultures, along with traditional festivals of the country.

The park, located in the Faujdarhat section of the Bandar Link Road near
Chattogram city, was previously a sanctuary for drug addicts. The Chattogram
District Administration reclaimed 194.18 acres of khas land in Salimpur,
Sitakunda, and transformed it into the DC Park. Since its establishment, the
park has become a popular destination for city residents seeking
entertainment and leisure.
