DHAKA, Jan 7, 2026 (BSS) - A court here today showed Salman F Rahman, Anisul Huq and Dr Dipu Moni arrested in a case filed over an alleged attempt to murder one Md Durjoy Ahammed in the capital's Badda area during the July Mass Uprising.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Ehsanul Islam passed the order as the police produced the trio before the court and prayed for them to be shown as arrested in the case. Following the order, the three were sent back to jail.
  
According to the case documents, Durjoy joined the anti-discrimination student movement on July 20, 2024, in the Middle Badda Post Office Lane area, where he was subsequently attacked. 
 
He sustained gunshot injuries to his eyes, leaving him completely blind, and also suffered serious injuries to the back of his head.
  
Durjoy was rushed to hospital and received treatment at different medical facilities across the country. He later filed the case on November 20, 2024, against 90 people, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
