DHAKA, Jan 6, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested seven people in a day-long special operation on Tuesday (December 6) across different areas of the Uttara Purba Police Station areas. 

The arrestees were involved in various crimes, including drug-related offenses. 

Following their arrest, the Special Magistrate Court sentenced the accused to jail terms ranging from 5 days to 6 months and 15 days under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance Act.

Police officials said such operations will continue to ensure law and order in the area.
