SAVAR, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS) - Police today arrested a Jubo League leader from the Aminbazar area of Savar.

The arrestee was identified as Solaiman Mia, 48, general secretary of Ward No. 6 unit Jubo League under Aminbazar Union.

He is the son of late Kamal Mistry of Begunbari Purbo Para village under Aminbazar Union.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Zakir Al Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of Aminbazar Police Outpost confirmed the arrest in a press release.

Solaiman Mia was arrested during a drive in the Aminbazar area based on secret information, said SI Zakir Al Hasan.

Police said the arrestee has multiple cases filed against him with Savar Model Police Station and several other police stations.
