DHAKA, Jan 4, 2026 (BSS) - Police have arrested 11 people during a day-long special operation carried out in different areas under the Uttara West Police Station today.

According to police press release, the operation targeted individuals involved in various criminal activities, including accused persons in regular cases. 

The arrested individuals are Saikat Ali (45), Md. Manju (40), Md. Faridul Islam (25), Md. Arafat (19), Md. Mahir Hasan (21), Md. Rabiul Hasan (25), Md. Raju (32), Md. Abhi (20), Md. Raisul (19), Tanvir Hasan Deepto (32), and Md. Sajeeb (30).

During the operation, police recovered one Yaba tablet, 72 grams of heroin, and two grams of marijuana from the possession of the arrested persons. 

After their arrest, all 11 were sent to the court for further legal proceedings.

Uttara West Police officials said such special operations will continue regularly to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of residents in the area.
