JHENAIDAH, Dec 29, 2025 (BSS) - BNP-nominated candidate Rashed Khan and independent candidate Saiful Islam Firoz have officially submitted their nomination papers for the upcoming Jhenaidah-4 (Kaliganj-Sadar Partial) constituency election.

BNP-nominated Rashed Khan submitted his papers around 2:30 pm. Former Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman, BNP candidate for Jhenaidah-2 Abdul Majid, and other party leaders and activists were present during the submission. 

Rashed Khan said, "Tarique Rahman has sent me to Kaliganj with the symbol of ‘Sheaf of Paddy’. I am Tarique Rahman's representative. I believe that the voters of Sheaf of Paddy and the general public of Kaliganj will vote for me. I want to work for the development of Kaliganj.”

Saiful Islam Firoz, senior joint general secretary of the Central Sechchhasebak Dal, submitted his nomination papers around 1:30 pm on Monday. Leaders and activists of the upazila BNP, Chhatra Dal, and other associate organizations accompanied him. 

After submitting his papers, Firoz said, "I trust the people of Kaliganj. They wanted me. I am participating in the election as an independent candidate with trust in Almighty Allah and taking into consideration the desire of the people of Kaliganj. Insha Allah, the victory of all the people of Kaliganj will be achieved."
