DHAKA, Dec 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Bank and Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen fire safety and emergency response at the Bangladesh Bank (BB) Headquarters.
FSCD Deputy Director of Dhaka Division Md. Saleh Uddin and BB Joint Director (HRD-1) Md. Riyad Farjand were present at the signing ceremony held at the BB head office here, said a FSCD press release.
Under the agreement, a satellite fire station will be established within the Bangladesh Bank premises, one of the country’s key KPI institutions.
The facility will operate round-the-clock with dedicated manpower, vehicle-pumps, and modern equipment to ensure rapid response to fire incidents in and around the area.
As part of the initiative, 13 members of different ranks from the Fire Service and Civil Defense will be stationed permanently at the site along with fire-fighting vehicles and necessary equipment.
Senior officials of the organization were present during the signing ceremony.
Officials said the initiative will significantly enhance fire safety, preparedness, and rapid emergency response at Bangladesh Bank and surrounding areas.
