DHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) will hold a briefing with field administration officials and senior law enforcement officers to discuss poll management ahead of the upcoming 13th national parliament election.
According to a press release signed by Mohammad Manir Hossen, Deputy Secretary (Polls Operation-2) of the EC Secretariat, the briefing will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday at the EC Secretariat auditorium (Basement-2).
Participants will include divisional commissioners, police commissioners, deputy inspectors general (DIGs) of police, regional election officials, deputy commissioners (DCs), superintendents of police (SPs) and senior district and election officers.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AAM Nasir Uddin will attend the briefing as the chief guest, while the senior secretary of the EC Secretariat will preside over the session. Other Election Commissioners will be present as special guests.
In addition, the cabinet secretary, the principal secretary to the Chief Adviser, the senior secretaries of the Home Affairs and Public Administration ministries, and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) will attend as invited guests.
EC sources said the briefing will provide detailed instructions on overall election preparations, maintenance of law and order, administrative coordination, security of polling centres and the roles and responsibilities of field administration and law enforcement agencies to ensure a free, fair and peaceful election.
