DHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS) - On the advice of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, a prosthetic leg has been fitted to Md Baizid Hossain, a helpless student from Bogura, through 'Amra BNP Paribar'.

A delegation of 'Amra BNP Paribar' today met Baizid Hossain at a residence in the city's Mohammadpur area and conveyed greetings on behalf of the BNP Acting Chairman.

Atiqur Rahman Rumon, convener of 'Amra BNP Paribar', met Baizid and observed his condition after the prosthetic leg was fitted, while also conveying greetings of the BNP Acting Chairman.

Among others present were Agriculturist Mokchedul Momin Mithun, member secretary of 'Amra BNP Paribar'; members Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Shakil Ahmed, Farhad Ali Sajeeb and Shahadat Hossain; Shariful Haque Saju, general secretary of Qatar BNP; Hasnain Nahian Sajeeb, joint general secretary of the Central Chhatra Dal; Hasanur Rahman, former general secretary of BUET Chhatra Dal; Engineer Abu Hanif; and co-organising secretary Mizanur Roni.

Earlier, in 2024, Baizid Hossain was seriously injured in an accident, resulting in the amputation of his right leg. Following his request, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman extended assistance for the installation of an artificial leg.
