DHAKA, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today imposed travel ban on Faisal Karim Masud, main suspect in the grisly murder of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi. 
    
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Mohammad Zunaid passed the order upon a petition of the investigation officer (IO) in the case. 

Member Secretary of the Inqilab Mancha Abdullah Al Zaber filed the murder case under section 120 (B), 326,307,109 and 34 of the Penal Code with Paltan Model Police Station in this connection on December 14.  

Section 302 (murder) of the code was added in the case following an order of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Siddique Azad upon a petition of the IO filed on December 20.  
Hadi was shot in his head in the broad daylight at Paltan area on December 12. 
  
Immediately after the incident, Hadi was rushed to emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition from where he was later shifted to the Evercare Hospital. 

 The government later sent him to a hospital in Singapore where he succumbed to his injuries there on Thursday.

Shaheed Osman Hadi was later laid to eternal rest beside the grave of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, adjacent to the Central Mosque of Dhaka University (DU) on Saturday.
