JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union (JUCSU) today organised a special prayers and doa mahfil seeking eternal peace and the highest status of martyrdom for Sharif Osman Hadi, a frontline fighter of the July Mass Uprising and founding convener of the Inqilab Mancha.

The prayer gathering was held at the university's central Jame Mosque after Jumu'ah prayers, where special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of Osman Hadi's soul and for strength and patience for his bereaved family.

Speaking on the occasion, JUCSU Joint General Secretary Ferdous Al Hasan said Hadi was a courageous voice of the anti-fascist movement in Bangladesh and an inspiration for the youth. JUCSU would continue to uphold the ideals for which Hadi laid down his life, he added.

JUCSU General Secretary Md Mazharul Islam, Education and Research Secretary Abu Obaida Osama, Environment and Nature Conservation Secretary Md Safayet Mir, along with other JUCSU leaders, teachers, students, university officials, employees and worshippers attended the doa mahfil.
