DHAKA, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is making extensive preparations to welcome party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman upon his return to the country after nearly 18 year. 

The reception is scheduled to take place in the 300-feet area of the city. To oversee the arrangements, top BNP leaders today visited and inspected the proposed venue.

Several members of the party’s standing committee visited the site. During the visit, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, and Salahuddin Ahmed were present. They were accompanied by various levels of party leaders and activists during the inspection.

According to BNP, Tarique Rahman is set to return to Bangladesh on December 25. He has already applied for a travel pass and booked his flight tickets. He is expected to arrive in Dhaka at 11:55 AM that day via a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
