DHAKA, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed today said that the murder of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson and Dhaka-8 independent aspirant Sharif Osman Hadi has shaken the feelings of the entire nation.

"The incident of Osman Hadi's murder has shaken the feelings of the entire nation. BNP will go to pay respects to Hadi's body," he said while taking to media in front of the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan.

At the time, Salahuddin Ahmed also commented that the 'failed fascist force' is active both inside and outside the country, as part of a conspiracy to sabotage the election it wants to obstruct democratic activities.

“There is a deep-seated conspiracy behind the isolated attacks on the media, cultural institutions, and some individuals across the country. Democratic progress cannot be obstructed by doing these things. The election will still be held at the right time," he said.
 
The BNP leader also mentioned that the people of the country have identified who wants to politically exploit Osman Hadi's murder.

Regarding the return of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Salahuddin said, "The BNP is coordinating with the government regarding Tarique Rahman's return to the country. The government is cooperating with security measures. A reception for Tarique Rahman will be held on December 25 in the 300 Feet area in the city."
