RANGPUR, Dec 19, 2025 (BSS) - National Citizens Party (NCP) member-secretary Akhter Hossen called for ensuring speedy justice over the murder of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Manch and a frontline fighter of the July Mass Uprising.

He was speaking at a rally held along the Rangpur-Kurigram highway after a protest march was brought out from the Bailey Bridge Bazar area of Kawnia upazila in Rangpur on Thursday night.

The Kawnia upazila unit of the NCP organised the protest march and rally demanding the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the killing of Sharif Osman Hadi.

Addressing the rally, Akhter Hossen said that despite the passage of time since the shooting of Sharif Osman Hadi, justice has not yet been ensured, which is deeply unfortunate.

He also pledged that the NCP would stand by the bereaved family and continue its movement until justice is ensured.

Speakers at the rally termed the killing a planned murder and demanded a fair and impartial investigation, identification of the real perpetrators and their quick arrest.

A large number of local NCP leaders and activists were present at the protest programmes.
