DHAKA, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS)- Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuaad today said that the struggle for freedom cannot be thwarted even with millions of bullets.

He made the remarks while addressing a mass rally and protest programme organized by Inqilab Mancha at Shahbagh in the capital, protesting the attack on Inqilab Mancha Convener Sharif Osman Hadi.

The programme was presided over by Ekushey Padak-winning journalist Mahmudur Rahman also editor of the daily Amar Desh. National Citizen Party Chief Organiser for southern region Hasnat Abdullah also addressed the gathering.

Barrister Fuaad said the foundation of becoming a state or a nation is built through recognising its enemies. “For the last 54 years, our most harmful enemies have been presented to us as friends. During this period, our independence, sovereignty, national interests and dignity have been repeatedly trampled,” he said.

He criticised the opportunistic forces in power politics, saying such groups fail to understand the nation’s struggle. “People who do not understand the value of thousands of years of history, independence and sovereignty have emerged as leaders of major political parties and are now seeking votes in neighbourhoods,” he said.

Fuaad alleged that these groups are conspiring to betray the mass uprising through the next parliament and once again sell Bangladesh to Delhi. “This attempt is still continuing,” he added.

Fuaad added, “Our message is clear. Bangladesh will not return to the past of August 5. The Awami League will not be able to return to power. The future struggle, independence and sovereignty of this country will not be allowed to be sold to Delhi.”

Speakers at the programme demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for the attack on Sharif Osman Hadi and exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.

Leaders and activists of Inqilab Mancha announced that they would continue united street protests until their demands are met.

Osman Hadi was seriously was shot by motorcyclists in the capital's Bijoynagar Box Culvert area on Friday. He is now undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
