DHAKA, Dec 10, 2025 (BSS) - Chief of the Bangladesh Navy Admiral M Nazmul Hasan today called upon the members of Military Engineer Services (MES) to work with the current technological advancements in the light of modern engineering technology, digital project management and environment-friendly construction policies.
Keeping the motto of ‘Sebai Brata’ in mind, he hoped that the MES would maintain its reputation in the future by implementing projects within the specified timeframe through skilled human resources, sustainable design and proper planning.
Speaking on the second day of the ongoing three-day conference as the chief guest, at the MES Convention Hall in Dhaka Cantonment, the Navy Chief thanked all the participants for playing an important role in the development of defense infrastructure and national progress.
Bangladesh Army’s Engineer-in-Chief Major General Md Hasan-Uz-Zaman presided over the programme, said a press release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate this evening.
At the outset of his speech, the Navy Chief remembered with deep gratitude all the brave freedom fighters who made their supreme sacrifices in the Great Liberation War, including the members of the armed forces, in this month of victory.
“Military Engineer Services’, as a renowned service-providing inter-service organization, has been performing its assigned duties with great efficiency and dedication,” he added.
During his address, the chief guest discussed various issues raised by the MES officials.
Later, the Navy Chief visited the construction materials stall organized on the occasion of the conference.
On the 3rd day of the conference, the factories, quality of manufactured products and production processes of 05 renowned organizations of the country will be inspected on-site by a team of military and civilian officials of MES.
In this, the officers will gain technical experience, which will play a helpful role in maintaining the quality of the projects under construction and to be constructed by the armed forces.
Besides, various administrative, technical, financial, welfare and training related issues dominated the discussion of the MES annual conference.
Among others, the Director, Works Directorate, Directors of Force Headquarters, Works Directors and Chief Engineers, officers of all levels of the Army, Navy and Air Force MES and all officers and employees connected through VTC were present in the conference.
