DHAKA, Dec 10, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) recognized top-performing officers and units at its November-2025 monthly crime review meeting.

It was held this morning at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh in the capital.

DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali handed over the awards for excellence in crime control, law-and-order maintenance, and public safety.

Uttara Division was named the best crime division, while Uttara West Police Station earned the title of best thana. 

Mohammadpur Zone’s Assistant Police Commissioner (APC) Md. Abdullah Al Mamun was selected as the best APC. 

Sub Inspector (SI) Samiul Islam (Gulshan) and SI Md. Abdul Momin (Mohammadpur) jointly won best SI, while Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI)  Akhtaruzzaman Mondal (Jatrabari) and ASI Md. Mamunur Rashid (Bhatara) shared the best ASI award.

Among intelligence units, Detective Branch (DB) - Wari Division secured the top position, with Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Md. Fazlul Karim recognized as best team leader. 

In the traffic category, Traffic-Motijheel Division was named the best, with Sergeants Abdul Aziz (Rampura) and Russell Alam (Mohammadpur) jointly awarded the best traffic sergeant.

The meeting was moderated by Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Md. Faruk Hossain and attended by senior DMP officers, including additional commissioners, joint commissioners, deputy commissioners, and officers-in-charge from all DMP police stations.
