DHAKA, Dec 22, 2025 (BSS) - Marking the month of victory, the Bangladesh Publishers and Book Sellers' Association (BAPUS) will organize a 12-day book fair titled "Bijoy Boi Mela-2025", beginning on December 10 at the Bangla Academy premises.

The fair will remain open from 2:30 pm to 9 pm on weekdays and from 11 am to 9 pm on holidays.

More than 200 publishing houses are expected to participate, and over 2,000 new books are scheduled to be unveiled during the fair.

For children, there will be special daily arrangements including Sisimpur shows, Putul Nach, Bioscope, Magic Shows, Puppet-making and cartoon-drawing workshops, along with storytelling sessions.

Traditional Bangla music such as Baul, Jari, Sari and Bhawaiya will be performed, and documentaries from the Liberation War Museum will be screened.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in daily raffle draws.

To make the event more interactive, organizers will bring renowned writers from across the country, with at least 10 live interviews of authors to be aired each day.
