Corruption free country main objective of Jamaat-e-Islami: Parwar

RAJSHAHI, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS)- Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Mian Golam Parwar has said his party wants to establish a corruption-free country.

“People want a corruption-free country. Fight against corrupts and looters is going on and it will continue. All previous governments were indulged them in corruption,” he said.

The Jamaat leader said this while addressing a rally at Madrasha playground here today as chief guest. The eight-party alliance led by Jamaat-e-Islami arranged the divisional rally as part of their movement to press home their five-point demands.

Leaders of Islami Andolon, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, Khelafat Andolon, Nizami Islam Party, Bangladesh Development Party and Jatiya Ganatantrik Party joined the rally.

Mian Golam Parwar reiterated his party demand for arranging referendum before the forthcoming parliamentary election. 

He said, a hope has been instilled in people's hearts that a new Islamic Bangladesh will be born.

Jamaat E Islami Leader Nurul Islam Bulbul, Bangladesh Development Party President Advocate Anwarul Islam, Presidium Member of Islami Andolon Bangladesh Ashraf Ali Akanda and its Organizing Secretary Sheikh Nurunnabi, Senior Nayebe Amir of Bangladesh Nejame Islami Party Abdul Mazed Athery, Central Organizing Secretary of Khelafat Mazlish Sheikh Salauddin and Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolon Rokonuzzaman Rokon also spoke.

Mian Golam Parwar said his party has accepted the dateline announced by the present interim government. 

“We are ready for the election. But questions have been arisen whether the election will be held properly and neutrally,” he said.

He also said referendums and parliament elections can’t be held on the same day. The administrations have to create level playing field by keep them neutral and holding trial of the killers.

Ashraf Ali Akanda said people of the country want change and they desire a happy and prosperous Bangladesh.

He said the people have awakened and they don’t want to see extortionists to rule. Islamic parties will make an effective parliament if they go to power, he assured.
