DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today ordered to seize tax files of former Member of Parliament (MP) from Jamalpur-3 constituency Mirza Azam and his wife Dewan Aleya.

Judge Md Sabbir Faiz of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court passed the order, allowing two separate pleas of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The petitions stated that corruption cases against the accused are currently under investigation. For the sake of a fair and thorough probe, it is essential to seize and examine their income tax files — including both permanent and miscellaneous sections — along with all relevant records, from the beginning of their filing history to the most recent submissions.
