DHAKA, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS)- In a day-long special drive on Wednesday, police arrested 21 persons involved in various criminal activities across the Mohammadpur area of the capital, police said.

Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said the operation-conducted on Wednesday, targeting both regular case accused and individuals with outstanding warrants. 

He said the arrestees have been identified as Nazmul (26), Arman (40), Rony (45), Zahir Iqbal Iqram (28), Omar Faruk (45), Babu (50), Nasir Hawlader (26), Alam Khan Beby (21), Asad (40), Shamim (32), Shafiq (27), Jahangir (22), Ibrahim (21), Farid (20), Pintu (27), Sujan (18), Abdur Rahman Nayan (36), Mujib (30), Sujan (28), Shawon (32) and Faruk (35).

Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur thana Kazi Rafique Ahmed said, police recovered 90 grams of cannabis, 45 pieces of yaba tablets from their possessions.

He said that all the arrestees were produced before the court after legal proceedings.
