DHAKA, Nov 10, 2025 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan today urged concerted efforts to transform the country into a democratic one in which the people's right to vote would be fully ensured.

"The politics of a country can't exist without culture education and society. Let us all work together to transform Bangladesh into a truly democratic country where human rights will be established, where people's right to vote will be established, where people's fundamental rights will be established and finally, where the economic rights of the millions of poor people of this country will be established," he said.

Dr. Moyeen made these remarks at a publication ceremony and discussion organized by the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS) at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan.

The veteran BNP leader also mentioned that the accumulated anger of the people exploded during the 2024 July-August.

He said August 5 did not occur in a single day, but was the result of a long history of struggle. Approximately 43 political parties, he noted, had been fighting against deprivation for many years, enduring attacks, fabricated cases and torture while struggling for democracy.

Dr. Moyeen also highlighted the significant contributions of JASAS to this nationalist movement.
