BARISHAL, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated candidate for Barishal Sadar-5 constituency Advocate Mojibor Rahman Sarwar today warned that any attempt to foil the upcoming national election would trigger another revolution in the country.

"The people of the country are eagerly waiting to cast their votes. But the allies of the autocrats are conspiring to thwart the election. I want to warn the autocrats that if there is any attempt to foil the election, another revolution will take place," he said.

The BNP leader made the remarks while addressing a rally in front of the BNP office on Sadar Road in Barishal, organized by the district and city units marking the National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

Sarwar urged party leaders and activists to remain united and active in the field to ensure the victory of the 'Sheaf of Paddy' and to restore people's voting rights.

The rally, presided over by Barishal Metropolitan BNP Convener Moniruzzaman Khan Faruk, was followed by a colourful procession that paraded through the main streets of the city and ended at Band Road.
