DHAKA, Nov 6, 2025 (BSS) – The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) organized a training workshop titled "Basic Technical Analysis" for enhanced analytical skills among capital market investors.
The workshop was held at DSE Training Academy in the city from October 26 to November 5, said a press release today.
The training underscored that self-analysis ability is the most necessary factor for investment in the share market.
Technical analysis is considered a very important component when making investment decisions in the capital market.
The core foundation of this analysis is price determination based on demand and supply.
Furthermore, technical analysis relies on factors such as price movement, volume of trade, and other relevant subjects.
The workshop highlighted that fundamental analysis alone is insufficient for investing in this market, noting that technical analysis is mutually related to fundamental analysis and is equally important.
Technical analysis ultimately provides a signal for making investment decisions.
The closing day ceremony, which included the distribution of certificates, was held on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event was Professor Major General Mohammad Kamruzzaman (Retd.), PhD, Director of DSE.
He was joined by Syed Al Amin Rahman, Deputy General Manager of the DSE Training Academy, and Shamnune Bin Zafor, Managing Director of Fintelect Limited and one of the resource persons.
Director Kamruzzaman stated that increasing investors' knowledge and skills is essential for the stability and development of the capital market.
He asserted that a strong and sustainable capital market can be built through regular training, increased awareness, and informed, data-based decisions.
The Director urged all participants to apply the knowledge they acquired in their real lives and stressed the continued importance of such training programme.
The workshop covered key topics critical for market professionals and investors. These areas included technical analysis platform, technical indicators, geometrical display in technical analysis, trading system, market analysis and risk terminologies and risk management.
