BNP announces 10- day programme marking ‘National Revolution and Solidarity Day’ 

DHAKA, Nov 2, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today announced a 10-day programme to observe the historic 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day' marking the civil-military uprising on November 7, 1975.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the programmes at a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan central office after a joint meeting of the party and its associate bodies.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General, Joint Secretary Generals, Conveners and Member Secretaries of the Dhaka Mohanagar (North and South) and the President or Convener and General Secretary and member secretary of the central affiliated bodies were present at the meeting.

The 10-day-long programme scheduled from November 5 to November 13 includes- hoisting of the party flag at the BNP Central Office in Naya Paltan and at party offices nationwide at 6:00 am on November 7, laying floral wreaths and recite ‘Fatiha’ at the grave of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman at 10:00 am on the same day. 

Besides, a rally will be organized by the BNP Dhaka Mohanagar (North and South) in front of the BNP Central Office in Naya Paltan at 3:00 pm on November 7. Rallies will also be held on the same day at the district and upazila levels nationwide by the BNP on the occasion.

Apart from these, BNP’s affiliated bodies will also hold discussion meetings and other programmes on their own initiative.

Such as-Sramik Dal and Chhatra Dal will hold discussions separately on November 5 and Chhatra Dal will also organise photo exhibitions on November 7 and 8 at TSC on Dhaka University Campus, Olama Dal will distribute educational materials among orphan students on November 9 while ‘Tanti Dal' will hold discussion on November 10 and Krishak Dal on November 11. 

Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS) will organize a cultural event at Shaheed Minar in the evening. 

However, BNP will organize a discussion meeting at the China-Friendship Conference Centre on November 12, according to the programmes schedule.

Documentaries on the significance of the day will be telecast in electronic and social media platforms and photographs will be published on November 6-13.

Besides, special supplements will be published in national dailies highlighting the significance of the National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
