DHAKA, Oct 14, 2025(BSS) -The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed a corruption case against former lawmaker from Dinajpur-6 constituency Md Shibli Sadeeq for acquiring illegal wealth worth about Taka eight crore.
Deputy Director (DD) of the Public Relations Department of the ACC Md Akhtarul Islam disclosed the information to journalists here.
Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) of ACC Dinajpur office Md Alam Miah filed the case under section 27(1) of the ACC Act-2004, the DD said.
The ACC alleged that the former member of parliament (MP) from Dinajpur-6 constituency Md Shibli Sadeeq has acquired and possessed worth about Taka 7,96,33,633 through corruption and irregularities that's were beyond his know sources of income.
The ACC during its investigation found a five-story building at Nababganj upazila in Dinajpur, a flat in capital Dhaka's Dhanmondi, 50 percent ownership of Swanpnapuri Park, two flats in Cox's Bazar and 45 acres of land under different upazilas of Dinajpur.
They also found huge business capital, two jeeps, furniture, gold ornaments and bank balance worth about Taka 19,14,22,304.
The ACC sources said that his acceptable income was worth about Taka 10,80,00,000 but his earned properties were worth about Taka 18,76,00,000 that means his unknown sources of income was worth about Taka 7,96,00,000.
