KHULNA, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) – BNP Standing Committee Member Begum Selima Rahman today said the party may nominate at least five percent women candidates in the upcoming national election.
She expressed hope that the number could increase further, enabling women to play a stronger role in politics.
She made the remarks while addressing a coordination meeting of Khulna, Bagerhat, and Satkhira districts, organized by the BNP’s Nari O Shishu Odhikar Forum (Women and Children Rights Forum), at the Khulna Press Club.
