DHAKA, Oct 9, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh has successfully showcased its burgeoning agro and agro-processed products on the international stage, participating in the ‘Anuga Food Fair 2025’ in Germany.
The fair, held in Cologne, Germany, from October 4–8, is recognized as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious food trade events, said a press release here today.
The participation was managed by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) under its Market Development Initiative.
A total of nine reputed Bangladeshi exporters from the agro and agro-processing sectors exhibited their products under the dedicated EPB pavilion.
The Bangladesh delegation was led by Baby Rani Karmakar, EBP Director General.
The participating Bangladeshi companies garnered significant attention from the international buyers and visitors.
They conducted a substantial number of business-to-business (B2B) meetings. These meetings are anticipated to play a crucial role in exploring new export destinations and significantly boosting export growth in the agro-processing sector.
The ‘Anuga Food Fair 2025’ served as a vital global network, bringing together innovators and leaders from across the food industry to foster international collaboration and market development opportunities.
This year’s fair was extensive, featuring approximately 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries.
Attendees explored a diverse range of products and segments, including the Halal and Kosher markets, while receiving a comprehensive overview of current global food trends, organic innovations, and market classics.
During the event, Karmakar actively engaged in bilateral meetings with representatives from several key international associations.
These meetings involved officials from the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF), the German Frozen Food Institute (DTI), and the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA).
In a move to further promote global trade collaboration and spotlight Bangladesh's export potential, Karmakar extended invitations to these international associations.
