New committee of North Bengal Student Forum announced

DHAKA, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS) - A new committee of the Uttaranchal (North Bengal) Student Forum, comprising students from various educational institutions in the capital, has been announced.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the new committee, following a discussion meeting held yesterday at the National Press Club marking the 18th 'Jail Release Day' of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

In the newly announced committee, BNP Standing Committee Member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku has been named Chief Adviser. 

Prof Dr. Maudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, Convener of BNP's Media Cell and Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, a member of the Media Cell, have been named Advisers. 

Besides, Atikur Rahman Ruman, a permanent member of the National Press Club and Convener of Amra BNP Poribar, has been named Chief Patron. The forum was founded in 2012.

The key office bearers of the committee are: President Imtiaz Raja Sourav (University of Dhaka), Senior Vice President Farzana Akter Rimi (Jagannath University), Vice Presidents Sohan Rahman (Jagannath University), Mesbaul Alam (Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University), and Naim Imtiaz Limon (Dhaka College).

General Secretary Mujahidul Haque Jihad (Jagannath University), Joint General Secretaries S. M. Ratul Hasan (Jagannath University), Sanaul Hossain Vicky (ASA University), Mehedi Hasan Simon (IUBAT), and Abdullah Hil Kafi Mujahid (Sohrawardi College).

Organizing Secretaries are Naim Hasan (South Asia University) and Shibbier Ahmed (Prime University), while Office Secretary is Soaib Islam (Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University).

The remaining positions in the committee will be filled in due course with the assistance of the newly elected President, General Secretary and Advisory Council.
