DHAKA, Aug 12, 2025 (BSS) – The National and International Youth Day 2025 was observed across the country today with a call for multilateral cooperation to build technology-driven youth power.
This year’s theme is “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation, Through Technology and Partnerships.”
In Natore, the National and International Youth Day was observed in a befitting manner.
Loan cheques were distributed among youths in the district on the occasion of National and International Youth Day here today.
A total of Taka 22. 60 lakh were distributed among youths using cheques.
Deputy Commissioner Asma Shahen handed over these cheques at a function at the Zila Parishad Auditorium.
Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development KM Abdul Matin delivered the welcome speech at the function chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Abul Hayat.
Successful youth entrepreneur Jannatul Ferdous also spoke at the event.
Speakers at the function said the government is working to create skilled entrepreneurs by providing timely training and financial assistance.
In Bagerhat, the National and International Youth Day was observed in the district with various events throughout the day.
The day was observed with the theme of Technology-based youth power, progress in multilateral partnerships - jointly organized by the Bagerhat District Administration and the Department of Youth Development.
Various programmes including day-long gatherings, discussions, distribution of certificates and youth loan checks, tree plantation and release of fish fry were held at the District Youth Building.
Dewan Mohammad Abuzar, Deputy Program Coordinator of the Department of Youth Development, Bagerhat, delivered the welcome speech at the programme.
Later, Deputy Director Md. Abdul Quader presented the overall activities of the Youth Development Department. At this time, successful entrepreneurs of the district told their success stories.
Among them, Md. Sohanur Rahman, President of Craft Institute and Youth Development Organization, Rampal; Mohammad Ali, General Secretary of Pathfinder Youth Development Organization, Mongla and successful self-employed workers Rubel Hossain, Sabina Yasmin and Nasrin Akhter were present.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Ariful Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police (Fakirhat Circle) Md. Rabiul Islam Shamim, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman, District Sports Officer Hussain Ahmed, Bagerhat District BNP Coordinator M. A. Salam, District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Md. Maulana Rezaul Karim were present at the discussion, among others.
In addition, SK Badshah, representative of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Labib Ahmed, NCP representative, Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Director Md. Sohrab Hossain, trainers of various trades and presidents and editors of various youth organizations of the district were present at the event.
The speakers called on everyone to work together to build technology-based youth power and achieve the progress of the country through multilateral partnerships.
The programme concluded with the distribution of training certificates and youth loan checks.
In Manikganj, the National and International Youth Day was observed in the district with the colourful rally, tree plantation, release of fish fry, blood donation programme, discussion, distribution of youth loan and distribution of certificates and crests among the successful people in different trades.
To mark the day, a programme was held at the Hall Room of the district Youth Development Center at Joka under Ghior upazila today.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Manwar Hossein Malla was present in the function as the chief guest.
The function chaired by Deputy Director of Youth Development Aloka Prova De was addressed among others by the Civil Surgeon Dr. Khurshid Alam, Assistant Police Super of Shibabalaya Circle Sadia Sabrina, Deputy Director of Social Service Md. Abdul Baten, Ghior Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nashitatul Islam, Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas, General Secretary of the Club Shahanur Islam and Principal of National Polytechnic Institute (NPI) Engineer Dr Md. Faruque Hossain as the special guests.

In Narsingdi, National and International Youth Day 2025 was observed with the theme of “Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology and Partnerships,” today.
A discussion meeting and distribution of youth loan cheques were held at the auditorium of the District Youth Training Center in the morning.
The event was organized by the District Youth Development Department.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abu Taher Mohammad Shamsuzzaman was present at the function as the chief guest while Md. Mukhlesur Rahman, Deputy Director of the District Youth Development Department was in the chair.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Narsingdi) Md. Kalimullah and Civil Surgeon Syed Dr. Amiruk Haque, among others, were present as special guests.
The speakers emphasized the need to integrate skilled and creative youth into the mainstream of national development. They highlighted that the government’s youth development programmes and loan facilities play a vital role in transforming young people into entrepreneurs.
Later, the invited entrepreneurs received youth loan cheques from the guests. Officials from district and upazila levels, representatives of youth organizations, and entrepreneurs attended the programme.
In Thakurgaon, the National and International Youth Day-2025 was observed in a befitting manner.
A colorful youth rally brought out from the Deputy Commissioner's office -- accompanied by the sound of drums, drums, and bugles -- ended at the same venue parading the main roads of the town.
On the occasion, a discussion meeting and oath-taking ceremony was held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room.
Certificates were distributed among 82 computer and ICT application trainee, and cheques for Taka 31.40 lakh were distributed among 23 successful self-employed workers from all upazilas of the district at the function.
Deputy Commissioner Farzana Ishrat and Superintendent of Police Sheikh Zahidul Islam were present as special guests at the event chaired by Deputy Director of the District Youth Development Department Mansur Rahman Khan.
Shaheen Ara Sultana Gani, Deputy Coordinator of the District Youth Development Department, delivered the welcome speech at the event.
Finally, 36 forest and fruit trees were planted on the premises of the Department of Youth Development in memory of the brave martyrs of July 36.
