DHAKA, Aug 02, 2025 (BSS) - Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju today said that those, who were forced to flee Bangladesh during the mass-uprising can never, return to state power through democratic process.

“They (the people, who fled away) can depend on secret politics and terrorism . . .There is no scope to become successful in Bangladesh by pursuing the politics of terrorism and secret activities,” he said.

The AB Party Chairman made the remarks while addressing a discussion of the Biplobi Workers Party at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) in the city’s Segun Bagicha area here.

With Biplobi Workers Party President Saiful Haque in the chair, BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan was present as the chief guest.

Referring to the historic incident, Manju said those who have lost power through any mass-uprising have two paths - one is to apologize to the nation after realizing their mistakes, change the party's policies, name and leadership and start a new democratic politics while the another way is to go underground and start secret politics and resort to terrorism.

AB Party Chairman said the Awami League has not shown any interest in the first one yet, but it signs of walking through the secret path of terrorism.

Referring to the steel-strong unity of the opposition forces during the fascism, Mujibur Rahman said, “At that time, many opposition party leaders could not survive in their areas and came to Dhaka and drove rickshaws and used to work as hawkers.”

He warned the incumbent government saying, “If you are seen busy to take credit instead of building a new Bangladesh, you will become the ‘mass villain’ one day.”

Manju said, “Our views and paths may differ. But we all have to be united against hegemony and terrorism.”
