KHULNA, July 28, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has launched a month-long graffiti art campaign in Khulna to mark the anniversary of the 2024 July Uprising.
Anindya Islam Amit, BNP's Acting Organizing Secretary for Khulna Division, inaugurated the campaign at the wall of Government Sundarban College on Sunday.
"This graffiti campaign is a reminder of our 16-year struggle against autocracy," said Amit while addressing the opening event.
Khulna City BNP President Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona and General Secretary Shafiqul Alam Tuhin also spoke at the event as special guests.
Following the inauguration, similar graffiti programs are being rolled out across other educational institutions in the city, including Govt Azam Khan Commerce College, Govt Pioneer Women's College, Govt Majid Memorial City College, Khulna Polytechnic Institute, Govt Mohasin College, and Govt Brozolal College.
The graffiti initiative is part of BNP's 36-day nationwide campaign, which includes discussion meetings, blood donation drives, street plays, and other activities aimed at commemorating the uprising and rallying public support for democratic reforms.
Party leaders said the campaign is designed to honor the 16 years of resistance and inspire mass unity against authoritarianism.
