RANGPUR, July 26, 2025 (BSS) - Speakers at a discussion have said that the 
July mass uprising martyrs are the inspiration of everyone and they dreamed 
of a peaceful and prosperous country without discrimination. 
 
They made the observation at the discussion arranged marking the 'Pledge 
recitation with millions of voices for July revival in society' held at the 
Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Saturday. 
 
The district administration, District Social Service Office and Department of 
Women's Affairs jointly organised the pledge recitation followed by the 
discussion in two phases. 
 
In the first phase, the pledge recitation and discussion meeting was 
connected to the central ceremony of the July revival in society through 
video conference.
 
Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmin S Murshid spoke 
and administered the oath from a virtual audience across the country.
 
After the oath-taking, the discussion on the protection of women and children 
in social formation was held in the second phase. 
 
In the speech of the President at the event, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad 
Rabiul Faisal said that the role of women in the various struggles and 
sacrifices of the country was immense. 
 
"We want to work towards the goal of building a country without 
discrimination as dreamed by the July mass uprising martyrs. We have to take 
everyone forward equally by keeping the oath we took today," he said. 
 
Regarding the protection of women, he said that guardians should always keep 
an eye on them, especially where the girls are going and what they are doing.
 
He called on all concerned to cooperate with the administration in preventing 
any irregularities in society including child marriage, violence against 
women, corruption and child trafficking. 
 
Additional Superintendent of Police Md Joynal Abedin, Deputy Director of 
Rangpur Women's Affairs Office Selwara Begum, Deputy Director of District 
Social Services Department Anil Chandra Barman and anti-discrimination 
student movement leaders delivered speeches as special guests. 
 

Director of Rangpur Divisional Social Services Office Most Zilufa Sultana, 
Additional District Commissioner Parimal Kumar Sarkar, the anti-
discrimination movement fighters and people from different professions were 
present.
 
Later, a cultural programme, performed by members of the district children's 
family, was held at the District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.
