DHAKA, Sept 2, 2026 (BSS) - A three-day magic training workshop and a special evening of magic performances will begin tomorrow at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The workshop, organized by the academy, will continue from September 3 to 5, with magician Shahin Shah serving as the lead trainer. 

Abu Sadat Md. Mamun will also conduct training, while Sarmin Sultana Islam will provide instruction on the language and style of magic as an art form.

The training sessions will be held daily from 10am to 4pm at Room No. 105 of the National Anthem, Dance and Recitation Building. A total of 30 trainees will take part in the workshop.

As part of the programme, a 'Magic Evening' will be held at 6:30pm on September 5 at the National Theatre Hall Auditorium. The magic performances will be open to all.

Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury is scheduled to attend the event as the chief guest, while Academy's Director General Rezauddin Stalin will be the special guest.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Secretary Mohammad Zakir Hossain will preside over the programme. Shahin Shah will deliver the welcome speech, while Shahin Dil-Riaz, director of the academy's Training Division, will deliver the vote of thanks.
