RAJSHAHI, Sept 6, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shaikh Faridul Islam visited the Rajshahi Silk Factory on Saturday afternoon.

During the visit, the state minister toured and observed the production activities of the traditional Rajshahi Silk. 

Bangladesh Sericulture Development Board Director General Md Toufiq Al Mahmud briefed him in detail about the overall activities of the silk factory and various measures and action plans currently being implemented for the development of the traditional industry.

During the inspection, members of the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Sericulture Development Board Aslam Sarkar, Ashraf Jamal and Suraiya Khatun; Director (Research and Training) of the Sericulture Development Board Nasima Khatun, Director (Administration) Reza Hasan, Director (Production and Marketing) Mizanur Rahman and other officials of the board were present.
