RAJSHAHI, Aug 29, 2026 (BSS) - The first-year admission test for the 2026-27 academic session at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) is likely to be held on January 14, 2027.

The probable date was set at the first meeting of the university's admission test steering committee held at the RUET conference room today.

Prof Dr Md Kamruzzaman, chairman of the admission test steering committee and dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, confirmed the matter.

He said the preliminary selection test would be conducted entirely in multiple-choice question (MCQ) format.

To facilitate candidates, the admission test will be held simultaneously at RUET and a designated center of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Dhaka.

Applicants will have to complete the application process online through RUET's designated website, as in previous years.

Details on eligibility, application procedures and fees will be announced later.
